The fully-fledged Geospatial Laboratory of the Department of Spatial Sciences of the Faculty of Built Environment and Spatial Sciences of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, was ceremonially opened by the Vice Chancellor Major General Milinda Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil on 21st December 2021 at the Southern Campus, Sooriyawewa.
This laboratory is powered by the BHOOMITECH (Pvt) Ltd and is equipped with the Trimble Business Center Version 5.6. This would facilitate the undergraduates and the academic staff of the university to embark on a multitude of real-world projects and geospatial research activities.
