In a bid to secure accreditation of the sole recognized Quantity Surveying (QS) Professional body in Sri Lanka accorded by the Institute of Quantity Surveyors Sri Lanka (IQSSL) for the Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Quantity Surveying offered by the Southern Campus – KDU, a set of academic representatives of the campus had a fruitful congregation with some high-level dignitaries of IQQSL on 22.04.2021 at the board room of the Institute of Quantity Surveyors Sri Lanka (IQSSL). Dr Harinda Lakmal, Dean of the Faculty of Built Environment and Spatial Sciences (FBESS), Dr Sanjaya Jayasooriya, Head – Department of Quantity Surveying flanked by the departmental lecturers attended the meeting representing Southern Campus. IQSSL was represented by the institute’s president, vice president, secretary, assistant secretary along with some senior council members. The head of Department of QS formally submitted the application for accreditation to the IQSSL at the meeting which concluded on a positive note.
