The Faculty of Built Environment and Spatial Sciences (FBESS) at KDU Southern Campus hosted ‘Entrepreneurship Day’ on the 3rd of February 2022. The workshop participated by the final year students of Architecture and Surveying Departments took place between 10.00 a. m. and 2.00 p.m. at the Southern Campus auditorium. It was conducted by Eng. Sam Karandagoda who is a prolific speaker of the subject as well as a social media personality. He is a product of University of Moratuwa where he completed his bachelors of Textiles Engineering in 2008. Then he completed CIMA in 2009 to follow it up with a Masters in Entrepreneurship in 2019. Having started his entrepreneurship career in India, Eng. Karandagoda started his local practice back in 2011. He has over the years acted in the capacities of a prolific speaker and workshop conductor in numerous academic and professional institutions around the island.

Archt. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nishan Rasanga Wijetunge from the Department of Architecture was the brainchild behind the venture and the Dean of FBESS Dr. A. H. Lakmal and Head of Architecture Archt. Nuwan Premaratne were instrumental in making the workshop a reality.
