The Faculty of Built Environment and Spatial Sciences organized an informative session on “Gender Equity and Equality” in collaboration with the Center for Gender Equity and Equality of General Sir John Kotelawala Defense University. Dr. A.M.A.S Gunasekara, Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Ruhuna graced the event as a guest speaker. The insightful lecture by Dr. A.M.A.S Gunasekara was centered on the concepts of Gender Equity and Equality. The Rector – Southern Campus, Dean, FBESS, Deputy Dean, FDSS, Undergraduates and military and academic staff participated in the event.
