In an effort to address the timely need of effective dispute management in the construction industry, a Guest Lecture on “Claims Management and Dispute Resolution” by Ch QS Jayantha Jayakody (MBA (PM), B.Sc. (QS), Dip. Arb., MRICS, MCIArb, AIQSSL, GreenSL® AP) was held on the 25th of October 2022, at the KDUSC Auditorium. The event was organized by the Department of Quantity Surveying, to inculcate knowledge on the methods and procedures of Claims Management and Dispute Resolution in Sri Lanka. The lecture was of vital importance to the public and upcoming construction industry workers.
Academic staff, officer cadets, and day scholars of the Department of Quantity Surveying participated in this valuable lecture to acquire a better understanding on the topic, its importance and applicability for effective dispute and Claims Management.
