The Department of Industrial Quality
Management of General Sir John Kotelawala
Defence University launched the second volume,
issue 01 of its industrial quality magazine
“Quality – For Sustainable Future” in an event
held at the Vice Chancellor’s Office on February
14, 2024. Vice-Chancellor Rear Admiral HGU
Dammika Kumara VSV, USP, psc, MMaritimePol,
BSc (DS) officially launched the e-magazine on
the KDU website, making it accessible to readers
worldwide. Parallelly, Dean of the Faculty of
Built Environment Dr. AH Lakmal and the Chief
Editor of the Quality magazine, Dr. SD Jayasooriya
presented the inaugural copy of the magazine to
the Vice Chancellor. The event was also attended
by the senior academic members of the Faculty
of Built Environment and Spatial Sciences.
The objective of the “QUALITY – For Sustainable
Future” magazine is to keep industry professionals
informed on modern quality management
practices in both industrial and service sectors.
It delivers current news and articles on quality
management, contributed by expertized
industrial practitioners and renowned academics,
highlighting industry trends and best quality
management practices. Additionally, it serves as
a valuable platform for undergraduates of the
Department of Industrial Quality Management
to network with industry practitioners and gain
valuable insights.
